Chris Wood Workout Routine

Chris Wood is an actor known for being one of the most popular characters from the show Vampire Diaries. However, I’m sure we all remember his incredible transformation on Containment, where he gained 30 pounds in 30 days for the role. Even though Chirs Wood is not as bulky as he used to be during that time, he is still keeping himself healthy and fit, and if you also want to know how? Then keep reading, and find out for yourself.

Chris Wood was always a person that was active in the gym and training regularly, so to gain 30 pounds was not that big of a challenge as he only had to change the way he trained and increase his nutrition. As you can see in this article from the Bella Magazine, Chris Wood stated that he was working out twice a day for about 90-120 minutes in each session. He was also doing Pilates workouts, and the other session usually contained lifting weights and strength training.

Pilates was a huge part of his cardio training, as Chris didn’t want to bulk up too much or get his body stiff. However, does Chris Wood still train like that? Nope, if you want a body like Chris Wood right now, you would not be training twice a day and eating less than what Chris Wood has said in interviews. However, we will be aiming for the best shape he was in, so I will give you a routine that you can do twice a day, but if you are new to working out, skip the morning routine and decrease the intensity in the evening.

Morning Routine

Pilates

We will start with an hour of Pilates workout. Pilates helps you get that flexible body shape and get rid of your muscles. Other than that, it also keeps your body that natural body symmetry while toning each muscle. So you can also start going Pilates for an hour five days a week in which you can either go to the Pilates studio or can workout at home by following this Pilates full-body workout video.

Evening Routine

The focus will be on weight and strength training and getting some cardio in the evening routine. So warm-up will be cardio, in which we will do like 10-20 minutes of running at a moderate pace, and then we will go and work on our main workout.

Weight Training + Strength Training

We will do a mixed workout routine in this routine where we will train our upper body and lower body with some traditional bodybuilding workouts for four days and then two days; we will focus only on full-body strength training.
