Women’s Health interviewed and talked with Emily Blunt, trainer, who told them that Emily likes to work out and stay fit. Emily does at least four one-hour HIIT non-stop sessions every week. Other than that, many activities and daily things also help Emily Blunt stay active and lose weight. Emily’s trainer even gave some exercises from her circuit routine to help people understand how she trains Emily.

In those four sessions, Emily will have one session that will include resistance band training. One will include ballet movements, and one session will be a power/stretching workout. Emily doesn’t work out and includes lots of weight training, mostly just her body movements. While I want to include the circuit routine primarily, I would also add other workouts to give you a good workout. However, make sure other than this routine you still need to be active on the other days.

Monday

We will start with a circuit routine on Monday, making sure we get a good workout routine. I like a full-body circuit routine, and that’s what we will do here.

Reps: 45 seconds

Rest time after the whole circuit: 1-2 minutes

 

Circuit 1 (upper body)

  • Burpees
  • Push-ups
  • Pike push-ups
  • Triceps dips
  • Mountain climbers

 

Circuit 2 (core)

  • Crunches
  • Leg raises
  • Plank twister
  • Side plank with hip dips
  • Plank hold

 

Circuit 3 (lower body)

  • Pilé Squats
  • Wide leg squat pulse
  • Low squat with leg kicks
  • Donkey kickbacks to a fire hydrant

Tuesday

On Tuesday, I would suggest doing a barre class workout. If you don’t know much about barre workouts, you can do 45-60 minutes of a barre workout. Do follow this video workout where you can do 45 minutes of a barre workout. It will help you get an excellent full-body workout and tone your body.

 

Thursday

We will start with a circuit routine on Thursday, making sure we get a good workout routine. I like a full-body circuit routine, which we will do here, but we will add resistance training with this routine.

  • Resistance band plank reach

 

Circuit 3 (lower body)

  • Banded Squats
  • Wide leg squat pulse
  • Banded leg lifts to kicks
  • Banded Donkey kickbacks to a fire hydrant
  • Banded glute bridge

 

Friday

On Fridays, I would suggest doing an hour of Pilates class, for which I would recommend you go to a Pilates class. Pilates will help you get a toned and flexible body and also help you stay lean. Undoubtedly one of the most practiced workouts ever.
