Most of her holidays involve lots of exercises and working out.  She is a true inspiration in terms of fitness. Ballet

Monica graduated from New York University in the BFA Dance Program in 2010. She has trained for ballet and it came in handy while preparing for Top Gun. The actress revealed that such training increases pain tolerance and endurance, and it’s essential when one is involved in intense physical labor for hours on a stretch.  In an interview, she shared that when most of the other actors were not comfortable with going upside down, she was,  because of the ballet routines and has practiced for years. So ballet has been an important part of Monica’s personality for quite a long time now and she practices as regularly as possible.

Ballet more than any other art form gives you coordination, grace, a beautiful posture, and improves focus and good mood.  Physically, it burns calories, builds muscle tone, and promotes bone health. So, you can also undertake ballet training for long-term health, as it has a range of physical and mental benefits.

 

Dancing

Besides Ballet, Monica also enjoys other dance forms, especially contemporary.  She is a dance enthusiast and we have a lot of good news for you if you love dancing. Training for Top Gun: Maverick

The actress underwent three months of intense training for much-awaited Top Gun: Maverick, where she plays the role of ‘ Lieutenant Natasha Phoenix Trace’, the First Female Fighter Pilot,  flying jets and jumping from mountains. The training entailed 40 hours of flight and three months of intense endurance and strength training.  She also underwent water training where they were required to swim for hours due to the possibility of ejecting from the jets. Altogether, the training was grueling and Monica did a good job in the role. The movie took a year to shoot and got delayed due to the pandemic and was released only in 2022.

Monica’s diet routine is not exactly known. But we know she was put on a very strict diet for Top Gun Maverick. According to an interview, the cast was put off sodium and sugar and was kept on very limited calorie intake. No Wonder each of them looked fabulous on screens. Most of their nutrition came from protein-dense foods like eggs, Smoothies, Chicken Breast, Broccoli, and boiled potatoes, and ended the day with 600 gms of Fish or Steak for dinner. On normal days, she is not following such strict diet plans and likes to have pizza and coffee.
