In that interview, there were many things that Olivia told, how she likes to use her day to the fullest and doesn’t feel stressed at all, In that interview, she stated two workouts that she does to get a better body shape, one of them is running, and the other one is abs workout. Running

In the running, she likes to run outside in the evening, in the Teen Vogue magazine, Olivia stated that she runs around 6 pm, Olivia also said that she’s not a runner, but it still counts and worth it.

Running is an excellent workout for an overall body weight loss; it works your whole body at the same time while burning a lot of calories from the inside. So you should also run every day for about 3 to 5 miles.

Aaliyah, please don’t worry about your weight! It is very normal for girls around your age to gain a bit of weight because puberty is starting. There is nothing to be ashamed of! You aren’t doing anything wrong 🙂

Your weight is healthy! Everybody’s body is different. For example, my friend Lizzy and I eat the same amount of food, but she weighs more than me. We are both healthy, our bodies are just different than each other. Even if you eat healthy, that does not mean you will look like Olivia Rodrigo because Olivia has a different body than you. You will look like you, and you are beautiful just the way you are!

Eating healthy is a great idea! It helps you feel more happy and energetic. You might lose some weight if you decide to start eating healthier, but that is not important. What is most important is that you are happy and healthy!

I have some tips for you about how to eat healthier:

    1. Eat more fruits and vegetables! Try to eat a fruit or vegetable in all of your meals.
    2. Don’t have a lot of processed sugar (like candy, soda, and juice). It’s okay to have a treat sometimes, but not every day. Having a lot of candy and soda can make you feel crappy and tired.
    3. Get a little bit of exercise! Exercise can help you lose a little bit of weight, and it makes you feel happy! Try to go outside every single day to do some exercise. You can get go on a walk, you can play a sport like soccer, or you could plays games like tag.
    4. DO NOT GO ON A DIET. Going on a diet doesn’t work! 99% of diets fail, and lots of people gain weight after going on a diet! This is because when you go on a diet, you aren’t eating enough food and your body is afraid that it is going to starve. Your body doesn’t want to lose weight when you are on a diet. Also, diets make you feel hungry and tired and sad.

I understand that you want to be skinny. But being skinny will not make you happier. Being skinny will not make you prettier. Being skinny will not make you like yourself. I promise that.

Do what makes your body feel good! Everything is going to be alright Aaliyah. Just be kind to yourself!

You can email me at [email protected]. If you want to talk about something but you don’t have anyone to talk to, you can talk to me. And you can ask for advice about exercising and eating healthy because I know a lot about that stuff.

Sweet gal. I promise you, you are beautiful and perfect the way you are. Comparison rather it be from the media or within your friend group is a true thief of joy. I think so many young girls struggle in the same way you feel. At 12 I had the same emotions and it developed into something obsessive and in the end made me less “healthy” for myself. Everyone has a different body type rather it be from genetics or something else. Learn to embrace and love yourself. Nourish your body and stay mentally and physically active. However making the objective to look a certain way or like someone else is not mentally healthy. Never forget you are uniquely imperfectly perfect! We all are. Stay strong. Pre teen- teen years for us gals isn’t easy. Never forget you are loved!

hi ! not sure if you’ll see this but i understand how social media puts pressure onto kids to look a certain way, but you are just a kid ! pls pls pls do not compare yourself to your friends, i did the same thing when i was your age and it never ends well !

  5. Lily

You are perfectly fine! I feel your pain on just wanting to be skinny, but you gotta remember that: 1. You’ve only just started growing. Your weight is going to fluctuate (go up and down) until you’re around 19 or 20. So you can blame hormones for that haha. 2. If you gained weight over quarantine and it’s been an issue, just ask your doctor about it when you can, he/she/they will give you guidance and tips on it. I honestly think you’ll be fine , and don’t worry about not looking like your friends. We aren’t supposed to look identical to each other, that’s why we’re individuals 🙂
I hope this helped you out a little!

Yea girls don’t worry we are beautiful no matter what anyone says

Aaliyah, I’m sorry for being so late to reply to your comment; I would like you to don’t focus on getting lean or losing weight as much as you are thinking at this very moment. The important thing about living is being healthy, which doesn’t mean going on a strict diet or working out regularly and for hours.
Simply being more active and changing junk food to home-cooked food will help you in your teenage to maintain a very healthy weight. I would recommend you snack on healthy fruits and try to eat outside as little as possible. Don’t leave or skip any meals, as it will ruin your metabolism, and instead of losing weight, you might gain weight.
Start by little things like taking a walk every day in the park for 30 to 40 minutes, joining a dance class, or any sports team you are interested in joining. Lastly, I would suggest stopping thinking about being skinny and focus on enjoying your life and living healthily for yourself.

Hi I am also 11 ~ 12 years old and my parents keep on body shaming me saying that I am fat and this makes me feel that there is so much pressure to be skinny. I am 162cm and weigh 55kg. I also really want to be skinny since I am the only person in my year group without a six pack and every moment I feel like they are judging me.

  9. Yasmin

    Hi Anna,
I am so sorry that you are going through that. Please don’t give into that pressure. You are perfect as you are, and anyone who tries to shame you is simply projecting their own insecurities onto you. You don’t need to be the same as everyone else; you are a unique and special young lady, and you are worth so much more than a number on the scale. You are so young. You do not need to worry about these things now or ever.
Please remember that you are worth so, so much more. Stay strong. I believe in you! <3

Well I am 14 and 5’8 and I weigh 170 and I have struggled with eating things

  11. Very Stylish Ordinary People

Aaliyah, you are not alone. All of us females want to feel “skinny” and look our best. The fashion you wear and how you style it has a lot to do with how you look.

  12. Feia

Hi! I am 14 and I have to admit that I am overweight… I am 5’5 tall and I weigh 70 kg, my parents say I’m not fat but is kinda chubby but I know I’m fat because it really shows… the problem is I binge a lot and I show a lot of symptoms of binge eating disorder.. my parents don’t believe me and just doing nothing to help me. I have tried a lot of diet plans but my parents keep ruining them.

  13. ZingSid

Your parents are not wrong, as you are not that fat, you are a little chubby, which can get controlled. Start by eating food in moderation and try not to snack between meals. You can also be more active in your school activities and work out naturally by playing sports, doing some bodyweight exercise, running, etc.
