Shay is undoubtedly one of the best athletes you would have seen in the NFL. That’s also why he got the opportunity to be part of the NFL hall of fame in 2011. After that, Shay is now working on chat shows as a TV personality and one of the most incredible fitness models you will see in all media. Shannon might leave the NFL, but he still looks like he can beat anyone in the game and is in the same shape.
So how does he able to maintain that incredible kind of body shape even in his 50’s. Well, Shannon does a lot of workouts, and whenever he’s working out, he goes super hard. Shay doesn’t like to do a boring workout like bodybuilders; even though he looks like one, his workout is an athlete. By that, I mean that he does many CrossFit, lots of cardio like running, hydro-row, air bikes, etc. Then there are his bodyweight, compound, and isolation training; Shay enjoys doing core workouts and working his muscles.
In an interview with the GQ magazine, Shay told the GQ magazine that he still workout in the morning and goes to the gym 3-4 days a week, and sometimes he tries to work out twice a day. However, even though Shay’s only working out four days a week, he’s going hard every time till he’s all gashed out. I can confirm that on his Instagram, where Shay posted this video showing the gym and telling that he comes there 3-4 days a week.
So that’s what we will be doing, mixing things up and trying to give you a great workout to get in a body shape like Shay. We will be working out four days a week, and it will be super hard since Shay does all of his training in circuit common patterns. We will also add a few activities for the rest of the days like swimming, trekking, hiking, etc. That way, you can stay overall fit and won’t feel lazy when you go to the gym after three days of rest.

Mostly Shay mixed his cardio with the cross-training, So that’s what we will be doing here in our routine. I even saw a video of Shay where he interviews with the Undisputed and shows his home workouts.
