Dominick Reyes Workout Routine
Dominick is one of the fighters that you would not want to fight. He’s the guy that you want to fight like in UFC. So if you are also looking for the routine that Dominick must be following to get into the shape he’s. Remember that Dominick comes from a lengthy background of playing American Football until his college years.
So that does help him get to bulk up a little more and get to the physique he had. It was a while after that when he got serious about UFC and started training for being a mixed martial arts fighter. So, now coming to his workout, I could not find any current training pattern when I tried to find some interviews. No, the interview has gotten done in the current year that can explain to us his routine.
However, thanks to the Instagram account Dominick, I think I got a few things covered up that can get taken as his routine. Dominick’s favorite thing to do is boxing, and as he always has trouble finding big guys to spar with him. Dominick tends to spend a lot of time with punching bags and speed bags, which you can see right here as well.
Other than that, there are cardio workouts that he focused on, and his cardio workout usually consists of HIIT training. It can consist of things like running on a treadmill or even doing air biking. Dominick also trains a mixture of weight exercises to gain some muscles, but his training differs from any bodybuilder routine. It’s more about getting strength and power to his upper body.
Also, lastly, he does a lot of MMA fighting in the MMA gym, where he does pad workouts, sparring, shadow training, core workout, etc. Whatever his trainer must have created for Dominick. So, I guess we can create a routine to follow with all of these workouts to help you get a body like Dominick. We will train six days a week and do three to four hours of training at least a day.
Dominick Reyes workout includes:
In cardio, we will keep the treadmill and cycling workouts in a HIIT routine. Focus primarily on sprints and make sure you don’t force yourself way too hard while working out.
- 15-minute treadmill (30 seconds interval)
- 10-minute air bike (30 seconds interval)
- 5 to 10-minute jump rope
After that, we will focus on a martial arts workout where you will train for warm-up, do some light pad workout, head to a heavy pad workout, etc. It would be better to join a nearby martial arts gym or dojo for better guidance.
After both of these workouts, you will do an hour of weight training in the evening. So cardio and MMA training will be in the morning, and in the evening, we will do weight training. In which you will train a mixed routine in this pattern:
- Monday: Upper body
- Tuesday: Strength training
- Wednesday: Functional workout
- Thursday: Lower body
- Friday: Strength Training
- Saturday: Compound movements with core workouts
Focus on exercises like deadlifts, stiff-leg deadlifts, snatch, shoulder shrugs, shoulder press, etc.
That’s all for the Dominick Reyes workout routine.
